All about the trip

This tour of the old city will take us to Braşov Citadel where you will see the among other things defensive walls, the gates of the city, the towers and strongholds that were used to guard the city from foreign invasions. We will visit the White Tower and Black Tower from where you can see an amazing view of the city. We will also walk through ex-district formerly inhabited by the Romanian ethnics, Şchei with the Unirii (the Union) Square and the first Romanian school that can you can enter and see from the inside.

We will come back to the citadel where we visit the Weavers' Stronghold with a very interesting scale model of the 17th century Braşov Citadel. We will also walk through the Sforii (Rope) Street, the narrowest Romanian street and visit the Urban Civilization Museum, a representative merchant house of the citadel turned into a museum. Next stop is the Black Church, the greatest Gothic construction in southeastern Europe with the biggest organ, the biggest bell and the greatest collection of oriental carpets in Romania and second in Europe.

In the end, we will walk in Sfatului Square and Republicii Street, with medieval buildings and shops.
