All about the trip
A private tour is sure to enhance your experience of Angkor Archeological Park by cycling, indisputably Cambodia’s most popular attraction. During this personalized experience, you’ll benefit from lesser-known historical and cultural commentary from a guide and get an intimate glimpse into parts of the site that large tour groups don’t usually have access to.
Embark on a cycling journey to uncover the history of Angkor off-the-beaten-path. Journey through the jungle on dirt paths to see Angkor differently. First stop is the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk. We visit the ancient capital of Angkor Thom built in the late 12th century. Onwards we cycle through the jungle heading to Bayon temple which is unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara. Exploring the many faces as you explore the winding stairwells of the famed temple. We visit Baphuon, a Khmer temple converted into Buddhist temple in the 15th century. Its platform is like an artificial mountain that recently re-opened after years of restoration. Following this, we continue our ride to visit the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace whose trunked elephants line the outer walls and the Terrace of the Leper King with its intricate carvings.
