All about the trip

This fantastic day tour takes you around the Golden Circle to see three of Iceland’s highlights, the Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir geothermal area, and Thingvellir National Park. Each site is rich in history, Icelandic folklore, and natural landscapes. After a day of traveling to the sites, our last stop will be Fontana’s natural steam baths for ultimate relaxation.

The original sauna was built in the year 1920 and it utilized the natural hot spring beneath the ground. Today, a modern complex welcomes you to relax with various hot tubs and steam baths naturally heated by Icelandic hot springs.

Upon arrival in Fontana, you will take a short walk with the guide to a nearby natural hot spring which is used as a regional natural bakery for the village. You will get to know the methods how to bake a loaf of bread in a hot spring. Watch as they dig up a traditional Icelandic rye bread which has been slowly baked in the hot spring. You will have the opportunity to taste the bread before leaving the sauna.

Relax and enjoy the hot springs for a while and then jump into the icy lake for a traditional approach to the sauna!
