All about the trip

São Miguel is the biggest island of the archipelago, with 62.1 km in length and 15.8 km at its maximum width. This tour will take you around the Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades. One of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal, Lagoa da Fogo has incredible Green and Blue lagoons, which according to a legend, were formed from the tears of a shepherd and a princess who shared a forbidden love. Located in the center of the island there are fascinating landscapes, doubtlessly one of the grandest natural attractions of this island. This huge Blue lagoon about 2 km long and 1 km wide fills the extinct crater, whose caldera was formed during an eruption in 1563.
