All about the trip

If you are a nature lover, this beautiful jungle hiking in the primary rainforest of Nam Ha National Protected Area (NPA) is just for you. The tour includes an easy hike through the jungle with huge old trees, bird watching, introduction to natural medicines, a delicious picnic in the wild, and a visit to ethnic minorities villages.

The adventure starts in our headquarters. From this point, your driver takes you to Ban Chaleunsouk, where we pick up our village guide. The first part of the hiking session begins with a one-and-a-half hour walking session up the mountain. We continue hiking through the mountain ridge in the bamboo forest until we walk-off the old hunter trail to the primary forest trail. We soon descend the mountain ridge until we reach a dry stream.

When it is about noon, we stop to cook our local style lunch. Here, we also learn how to cook with organic ingredients collected from nature.

After the break, we hike along the stream to observe majestic big old trees and some animals. Continuing the tour, we walk for a few hours to the valley of the village rice fields, where we can see how the locals work on the farms.

On the way back to our headquarters, we still visit the Lantan village of Ban Namleu and Taideng village of Ban Phieng Ngarm for another impressive experience with locals.
