All about the trip

Explore Madeira with a cool and classic Fiat Panda 4x4 in this full-day private safari tour. Your guide will make your adventure fun and easy, and Madeira will give you an excellent reason to explore this astonishing island in the Atlantic.

Your adventure begins with your guide picking you up from your accommodation in Funchal. After that, you go straight to Faial, where the experience starts. Along the old roads, you see the untouched nature of Madeira. Then, you begin to climb towards Cruzinhas to enter in the Laurissilva forest. This part of the island is classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Here, you can see endemic species of plants and insects, and also fill your lungs with pure fresh air. Meanwhile, your guide talks briefly about safety to have a risk-free off-road adventure. He explains the basics of off-road driving, and then you jump to the driver's seat.

You pass by Cova da Roda and drive towards Santana on a trail full of beauty and fun. Diversion is guaranteed even during the winter when you can find many mud puddles all along the way! Continuing the trip, you go to Queimadas where you can see Levada do Caldeirão Verde. There's a beautiful garden here which you can visit.

When it is almost lunchtime, you drive to São Jorge, where you help to cook the traditional espetada you are going to eat.

After tasting the delicious local cuisine, it is time to go for another off-roading session. This time you drive to Ilha for a Poncha tasting, a local alcoholic beverage made with sugar cane rum.

After a day full of adventure, you can still enjoy driving through old roads, where you can see all the vineyards that are used to make the Madeira Wine.
