All about the trip
Set sail for a scenic on a cruise around Tonle Sap Lake from Siem Reap, including hotel transfers. Hop aboard a traditional longtail boat and drift through the floating village of Chong Khneas, stopping to admire the lotus fields and peek into a crocodile and fish farm along the way.
Set off to Tonle Sap Lake where you will discover different aspects of the floating village activities from crocodile farming to fishing farms, traditional medicine shops, boat shops, spirit houses, floating schools, and more. Cruise on the lake to see local life, stopping at the different shop types. Your guide will give you insight into the local life on the river and how the landscape changes between the wet and dry seasons.
Back on dry land, we head onward to the 500-year-old Wat Preah Prom Rath pagoda on our return to Siem Reap. A modern style temple and monastery located in the heart of Siem Reap town, this historical Buddhist temple complex boasts colorful pagodas surrounded by lush gardens. Explore the grounds with your guide as you learn about the history of this temple, which is so different from the traditional Angkorian ruins.
