All about the trip

Discover the beautiful nature and intriguing history of the German region of Saxony on a full-day tour. Take a hike through the stunning Elbe Sandstone Mountains in the national park of Saxon Switzerland. Visit the region's capital of Dresden with a rich history of a spa resort and a royal retreat that was almost completely wiped out in World War II and rebuilt again to its previous glory.

Just a 2-hour drive from Prague there is Saxon Switzerland National Park. Bastei Bridge is its most impressive sight. The famous bridge towers 194 m high above the Elbe river and offers panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. After crossing the bridge we explore the ruins of 12th century rock fortress of Neurathen.

From there we continue to the city of Dresden where we enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon we see the major sights of the city including Zwinger Palace built in baroque style.

Old Masters Gallery hides the invaluable treasure of the Sistine Madonna by the Italian artist Raphael. You have a chance to see here many masterpieces that made their mark in the world history of art.
