All about the trip

Visit one of the oldest traditional Christmas markets in Germany and soak up the festive atmosphere. With a cup of spicy mulled wine in one hand and a crunchy Christmas cookie in the other stroll the alleys of the market, enjoy the fragrances and lights and pick some lovely souvenirs. See the famous sandstone Bastei Bridge and the ruins of the Neurathen Castle in Saxon Switzerland National Park on the way.

This is a special small-group tour. The drive from Prague to Dresden takes only 2 hours. On our way we stop to visit Saxon Switzerland National Park with its gem: the Bastei Bridge.

The sandstone bridge towers high above the Elbe valley and offers amazing views of the river and countryside. Crossing the bridge we enter the ruins of the 12-century rock castle Neurathen.

Having seen the highlight of the region's nature we continue to the city of Dresden. We cover the major sights of the city including the Royal Palace, the Church of the Virgin Mary and the Blue Wonder Bridge.

Then we visit the popular Striezelmarkt. You can get the delicious German Christmas cake called Hafestriezel in many stalls as well as a cup of mulled wine to warm you up and bring on the festive mood.

A delicious lunch in a local restaurant including a vegetarian as well as a vegan option is a part of the trip.
