All about the trip

Do you want to join the fun of dog sledding? We offer to you this day trip dog sledding tour where you are actively involved from start to end of the tour.

The guide will give you instructions on how to handle the dogs and the sled. Then you can harness the dogs and prepare your own dog team. You can also unharness your four-legged pack after the tour, give them water and wave them goodbye at their kennels. The guide will, of course, be there to help you.

Two persons share one sled so you can both switch during driving and try mushing and sitting in the sled and enjoying the beautiful nature. Dog sledding is fun but also a bit physically demanding activity that requires balance, strength and perseverance. If your fitness level is average, you have a positive attitude and you are prepared for cold and various weather condition, then you have what it takes. Depending on the snow condition we mush 20 – 35 km and have lunch en route.

Instructions

Please show up at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

Handicapped or persons who aren't so fit might sit in the sled during the whole trip if needed. Tell us when you order a trip if you prefer to sit in the sled the whole trip.

What to take with you?

Please bring warm undergarments (wool or fleece is recommended) and wear warm clothes. We have overall and warm boots to lend you, but children have to be dressed up, as we don’t have small sizes.
