All about the trip

Manta Point is a large rock formation that emerges near a cliff on the south coast of Nusa Penida. As the name suggests, this part of the coast is usually full of elegant manta rays gliding about.

If you’ve never seen these beautiful creatures swimming before then you are in for such a special treat. Manta rays are so graceful and playful that it’s nearly impossible to not fall in love with them.

The rays often come to this particular area to clean themselves and to eat plankton; which is plentiful around here. Locals often say that this is the perfect spot to find manta rays all year round. Just be advised that because this part of the sea is so loaded with plankton, the visibility can often be poor, at around 10 metres or so. It’s worth it for the rays though and it’s not uncommon for them to want to have some fun and swim with divers. Occasionally we can count up to 15 of them swimming with us! As with all our sea dives, you will need diving experience in order to participate on this activity.

Instructions

Please bring ID and your booking reservation.

You will need to bring your own bathing suit and towel. Dry clothes to change into afterwards are also needed.

What to take with you?

Please bring your own swimwear. You may also bring a waterproof bag with a towel, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, snacks and any other supplies you may need for the day.
