All about the trip

Crystal Bay is located between the islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. It is one of the most famous dive sites in Bali simply because it is one of the only places in the world where you can swim with the extraordinary giant sunfish, the “Mola-Mola”.

The Mola-Mola are incredible creatures and can grow to be more than 3 meters in length. Every summer, these pelagic fish ascend nearer to the surface (between 15-40m) to be cleaned by hundreds of smaller “feeder fish”. These giant creatures normally live very deep in the ocean but will ascend during the summer months when the current changes.

Crystal Bay itself is aptly named because the water is so clear and the bay is exceptionally beautiful. So, regardless if it’s Mola-Mola season or not, the diving here is simply spectacular. The site itself is rich in coral and colourful marine life. There is the opportunity to see many other different species here: clown fish, sweet lips, anthias, angel fish, trigger fish and many others.

Crystal Bay really does live up to its reputation as being one of the best places to dive in Bali! As with all our sea dives, you will need diving experience in order to participate on this activity.

You will need to bring your own bathing suit and towel. Dry clothes to change into afterwards are also needed.
