All about the trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Taipei in the morning. Our first stop will be Yangmingshan National Park located in the north of Beitou. Yangmingshan was called Caoshan (grass mountain) during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan because it was covered with grass and seldom visited.

After that, there will be a lunch break to replenish our strengths. We will then continue to the Small Oil Pit as it is fondly referred to by the locals. It emits steam and gases all year round and amazes visitors who come to witness proof of former volcanic activity in this location.

Then, we will visit Qingtiangang Meadow at 750 meters above sea level. This former lava field is now covered with lush green pastures that welcome its visitors with a view of sunshine-filled grassy meadows and cattle grazing in bucolic pastures.

The last stop will be Lengshuikeng public hot spring and outdoor foot-soaking pool. Compared to the hotter spring of the Datun Mountains, this spring is colder, only about 40 °C This public hot spring is situated in a building where visitors are separated by genders and must enter the pool nude. All hot springs are free for the public.

After the trip, we will take you back to your hotel in Taipei.
