All about the trip

Just a short hop from Chiang Mai we get on our bikes and start to ride through the verdant landscape of Mae Taeng on our secret trails, snaking on back country trails through the natural surroundings that will take you up and down for 7 km. We'll have stunning views of the valley formed by the Mae Taeng River, see local plantations and ride through small villages. When we hit tarmac it's only 11 more km to the Mae Taeng River where we will be shortly rafting down. After sighting the Mae Taeng River from the bike, we now get to know its full power as we embark on an exhilarating downstream run through grade 3 and 4 rapids. We'll ride the river's swell, becoming raging whitewater pushing its way out of the mountainous tropical rainforest around Chiang Mai. During the 10 km route that will take about two hours, experience the beauty of remote areas as we follow the river through untouched wilderness and past quaint rural hill tribe villages. Before we touch the water you will be given full safety instructions and be escorted by professional guides for the best raft experience in Chiang Mai.

Due to low water this tour is available from July to March (this may vary from year to year).

What to take with you?

We recommend to wear sports clothes and shoes. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also recommended. After our two hours of rafting, there will be a place to change before we transfer you back to your hotel so please bring a spare set of clothes.
