All about the trip

Admire natural wonders and rich history of Cappadocia. Fairy-chimney rock formations which are typical for the landscape were formed some 30 million years ago. Explore the oldest settlements and fascinating cave churches in Göreme Open Air Museum.

The unique landscape of Cappadocia will bring you to another world. You may feel like you have landed on the moon or become a hero in a Hobbit movie. The amazing scenery is created by rock formations called fairy chimneys.

We explore the oldest settlement in Zelve Open Air Museum. There are traces of a rich cultural history on every step in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We also learn a little about pottery-making on a visit to a local pottery shop. The traditional craft dates back to the Hittie era 1700 BC.

There are hundreds of cave churches in Cappadocia. In Göreme Open Air Museum we can see some of them with magnificent interior decorations.

Our last stops are Uçhisar Castle and Pigeon Valley. There are more stunning views of the landscape we can enjoy there and many opportunities for fantastic photos.

After the tour, we will take you back to your hotel by our minivan.

What to take with you?

Please wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. We recommend to wear shorts, not a skirt that may be inconvenient for the countryside tour. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a camera. In spring and autumn please bring a light jacket or raincoat with you.
