Rock formations called fairy chimneys create this unique scenery. The UNESCO World Heritage Site has a rich cultural history as well. In Zelve Open Air Museum we explore the oldest settlement.

We can visit a local pottery shop and learn about the beautiful art and craft dating back to the Hittite era 1700 BC.

There are hundreds of cave churches in Cappadocia and we can see some of the most magnificent with amazing interior decorations in Göreme Open Air Museum.

Uçhisar Castle and Pigeon Valley offer more stunning views of the landscape and many opportunities for fantastic pictures.

What to take with you?

Please wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. We recommend to wear shorts, not a skirt that may be inconvenient for the countryside tour. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a camera. In spring and autumn please bring a light jacket or raincoat with you.
