All about the trip

Discover the beautiful region of Cappadocia on a full-day hike. Explore its natural wonders from up close. Experience hiking in a fantastic landscape sometimes resembling moon surface and sometimes a Hobbit movie. Enjoy a picnic with a stunning view.

We set off on our 19 km hike from Red Valley. Walking among fairy chimneys we can admire this unique landscape created by fantastic rock formations. Along the way, our guide will tell you about the rich history of Cappadocia and its ancient settlements as we pass a number of cave churches.

We make a short break in the village of Cavusin where we can have tea in a local shop. From there we continue to White Valley and the Uçhisar District. The imposing Uçhisar castle carved out of 90-meters high rock is the major highlight of this region.

We reach a perfect picnic spot with a gorgeous view and enjoy our lunch. With our energies replenished we hike to Pigeon Valley.

Our destination is the town of Göreme where we can reward ourselves with a delightful experience of a Turkish bath.

What to take with you?

Please wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. We recommend to wear shorts, not a skirt that may be inconvenient for the hike. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a camera. In spring and autumn please bring a light jacket or raincoat with you.
