Looking for some serious whitewater thrills?

Perhaps without a boat? How does sliding-down natural slopes sound? Or swimming under roaring waterfalls? Or jumping-off huge boulders into deep emerald pools? If that all sounds appealing, then canyoning is a must try experience for you. Anyone can enjoy it (as long as you can swim!)

So, challenge your fears, confront your boundaries and set your inner-child free. The pristine waters of the Sušec await you! On this experience you will, of course, be taken to all the best spots, something our guides take pride in. Canyon Sušec is located approximately 7 km from Bovec and your certified, English-speaking instructor will show you how to canyon Soča like a pro. Accompanied by your instructor, you will be able to jump from high waterfalls, plunge down naturally formed slides and swim down rapids; all in beautiful turquoise-coloured water.

Your canyoning adventure in Sušec, including your hike to the entrance point into the canyon, will last 2 hours. During the hike up, you will also have the opportunity to see various historical ruins leftover from World War 1. There is much to see around this pristine location, including the mighty Triglav mountain which dominates the skyline.

Please note that this tour is not wheelchair accessible. This tour is not recommended for pregnant travellers, travellers with back or heart problems or any other serious medical conditions.

You must be physically-able to swim to do this activity.

This tour requires good weather. If we need to cancel due to poor weather you will be offered a different date or a full refund.

What to take with you?

You will need to bring your own bathing suit and towel. Dry clothes to change into afterwards are also needed.

We also advise that you wear a lycra t-shirt or 'rash-guard'. If you want to bring your own water shoes, please make sure they are not 'open-toe' style.

We strongly advise that you wear either sunscreen, or a sun hat or scarf from May - August. It can get quite hot here during the summer.
