All about the trip
Feel the excitement of taking a canoe trip down the Ason River, fall in love with the landscape of Collados del Ason Natural Park and discover the beautiful Cullalvera cave.
We will leave at 9:15 in towards Ramales de la Victoria, where we will visit Cullalvera cave. Cullalvera is a majestic cave, formed by large cavities of easy access. You can enjoy the magic show of sound, light and water inside the cave.
Afterward, we will enjoy a scenic drive along the Collados del Ason Nature Park, the magnificent mountains, ancient forests and beautiful valleys views will make this a memorable drive. You will aslo love the breathtaking views over the birthplaces of the Asón and Gándara rivers. Both rivers run through valleys of Soba and Ruesga to finally unify in Ramales de la Victoria and continue as the Ason River.
We suggest taking a picnic lunch with you in summer, so we can enjoy our lunch in nature. Finally, we will drive to the municipality of Ampuero where the canoeing center is. From this place, we will descend in the canoe on the Asón river (through the municipality of Udalla). The duration of this canoeing experience will be about 2,5 to 3 hours. This is definitively a fun experience for everybody!
Once the canoeing trip is finished, we will go back to Santander where we should arrive around 19:30.
