All about the trip

Early in the morning, our transport will pick you up at your hotel. We will then go to a summit of Pico do Areeiro (1818 meters) and wait for the sunrise. This is one of the most magical moments on Madeira and hard to describe in words. You will get to see the start of the day, with sunlight spreading all over the island from one of the highest peaks. When the sun starts to warm us up, we will start our journey through one of the most beautiful paths of the island, walking on some of the highest peaks of Portugal until we reach the sumit of Pico Ruivo (1862 meters). You will enjoy some well-deserved views which are simply stunning. After a pause to recharge our energy and a snack, we will and head down for a transport to Santana area.

This is a hike done in mountains, please make sure you wear appropriate footwear and clothes, and that vertigo, tunnels and tough climbs are not a problem for you.

Please, bring comfortable clothes and shoes and be prepared for sun/cold in the mountains. Also, pack some snack/water.

This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
