This tour is a combination of the classical night-sky observation with hiking at dusk from the heart of Teide National Park.

Starting during the sunset, your astronomical guide takes you for a hiking session to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Teide National Park and Tenerife, while the night comes above your head. While exploring the local nature, your guide shows you constellations and talks about their mythology, state of the art in astrophysical research, the history of science and astronomy.

When the hiking session is over, you have the chance to observe the sky with a professional 8-inch telescope to see all the astronomical bodies you heard about up-close.

With a mix of nature and science in the same tour, this is an experience to remember for many light-years.

Instructions

The difficulty of this tour depends on your physical condition and hiking experience. The basic route has about 3 km and 100 m altitude change and should be accessible for most people in up to 1.5 hours.

Depending on the trail, the tour can take up to 3.5 hours.

Although it is not frequent, cancellations and changes may happen due to bad weather. In this case, we contact you to reschedule your tour. If it is not possible, you get a refund of 100%.

What to take with you?

Please dress accordingly to actual weather, but don't forget to bring a warm sweatshirt, as it can get a bit cold during the night.
Also please bring warm clothes for winter months as the temperatures can drop down to 3-5C° during the night.
