All about the trip

Visit the second biggest Roman city and see the remnants of the fascinating Library of Celsus, the huge open-air theatre and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Temple of Artemis. Enjoy a comfortable 1-day tour by plane from Istanbul.

After landing at the Izmir airport, our guide and driver will welcome you with your name board and you will start driving to Ephesus through a beautiful lush countryside. Our first stop is the House of Virgin Mary, where the mother of Jesus spent her last years.

Ephesus was a rich city. Exploring its ruins you can imagine its original splendor. The terrace houses with their amazing interior decorations show the lifestyle of the wealthy.

There is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World there. It is the Temple of Artemis. It took 120 years to build it with 100 marble pillars supporting its roof.

The facade of the Library of Celsus is a proof of magnificent architecture as well as the open-air theatre built for 25 000 people.

You can also see the tomb of John the Apostle here in the Basilica of St. John.

At the end of our tour, we will take you back to Izmir airport and you board your plane back to Istanbul.
