All about the trip
We will pick you up at your hotel in Mandalay and drive to Amarapura. In Amarapura we will visit the Mahagandayon, a well-known Buddhist monastery, where over thousands of monks live and study. We will also stop at the U-Bein Bridge, the longest wooden teak bridge in the world. It is one of Myanmar's most popular places to take photos.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit the former Royal Capital of Innwa. You can try a ride on a horse cart and visit the Nanmyint watch tower and The Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan Monastery, which is more known as the Brick Monastery. Around a thousand Buddhist monks practice their daily routines here and are allowing tourists a glimpse of their daily lives.
At the next step of this journey, you will see lots of unique and artful wood carvings in the Bagaya Monastery.
Last attraction of this trip is a visit to Sagaing Hill, where you can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. Sagaing Hill offers the most beautiful sunset by the Irrawaddy River. At the end of this tour, our guide will accompany you to your hotel in Mandalay.
