Visit 2 fascinating Egyptian temples with a rich history and beautiful decorations on this full-day tour. The Dendera Temple built by the queen Cleopatra features amazing carvings of religious scenes made in color. See the sacred lake where priests made their ablutions before performing the ritual of the godly union of Hathor with the sun. The Abydos Temple encompasses 7 shrines dedicated to 7 gods. The famous Helicopter Mystery can be found and perhaps solved here as well.

We will pick you up in your Hurghada hotel before breakfast. So please ask your hotel reception a day before to prepare a breakfast box for the next morning so you can take it with you. We will travel in an air-conditioned vehicle, first to the Dendera Temple located 60 km from Luxor.

There we can admire decorations illustrating religious rituals such as the queen Cleopatra making an offering to the goddess of love, beauty and motherhood. Hathor is associated with the Greek Aphrodite and the Venus. The Dendera Temple is one of the best preserved temple complexes in Egypt.

Next, our tour will take us to the Abydos Temple. It was built by the pharaoh Seti and hides the valuable Abydos List featuring 76 Egyptian rulers in chronological order.

The fascinating Helicopter Mystery was found here in 1848 and remains unsolved to this day. Maybe you can be the one to shed some light on it?
