All about the trip

Covering an area of 1,190 km² with a basal circumference of 140 km, Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe outside the Caucasus, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage. This tour is your chance to visit the highlights of this fantastic place and to discover the astonishing wine culture of this part of the planet.

Your adventure begins at Piazza Sant'Alfio, where you meet your friendly and knowledgeable guide. The first part of the tour is dedicated to visiting Etna park. You can expect to see lava flows, the majestic caldera of Valle del Bove, and panoramic views from the edge of some extinct craters from an altitude of about 2000 meters. You also visit a lava cave with helmet and torches. As you discover these fantastic places, your guide explains interesting facts about the volcano.

Once this part of the visit is finished, you head to one of the best wine farms in this region. Here, you take a guided tour across the cellars and have a wine tasting session with the excellent local wines accompanied by delicious samples of typical Sicilian products.

What to take with you?

Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes (also available for rent), windbreaker jacket or sweatshirt, water, and camera.
You can rent shoes (3€), windbreaker jacket (2€) or hiking sticks (2€).
