All about the trip

Visit the town of Agios Nikolaos and the picturesque Lake Voulismeni with its many legends. Discover the uninhabited Spinalonga Island formerly used as a leper colony. And see the summer destination popular with many of the world's VIPs – Elounda.

We will pick you up in your hotel any place between Malia and Ammoudara and drive in an air-conditioned bus to Agios Nikolaos.

The famous ocean researcher Jacques Cousteau explored its fascinating Lake Voulismeni on which there are many legends. Some of them are saying the lake is bottomless and the goddess Athena herself had bathed in it. Others claim it is created by a volcano crater.

Spinalonga Island has an intriguing history and had been one of the last active leper colonies in Europe. The island has a sophisticated fortification and has featured in popular culture many times.

We can have lunch or enjoy swimming in the small fishing village Plaka. And then we will continue to the luxurious resort of Elounda where many celebrities and politicians like to spend their summers.
